Thinking of widening my geographical area in search for a job

Hi Folks
I live in the Midlands and looking for credit control work (debt collection).
There seems to be a fair few credit control jobs available around London. I was thinking of applying there (I can always catch the train in the morning to London Euston). However, I don't want to have to catch another underground train or a bus to get to my place of work. So, can someone please tell me the names of the areas which are within walking distance from Euston.
Thanks in advance.

It really depends on what you class as walking distance.
Bloomsbury is directly across from Euston Station, St Pancras is a few minutes walk away.
From Euston I've walked to parts of Camden (Euston is in the borough of Camden), Bloomsbury, St Pancras, Regents Park, Covent Garden, Soho, Oxford Street...0 -

Being in the Midlands you might find that some London employers won't even consider you.0 -
Hi
Thanks for your replies. so far.
Westve, why wouldn't employers consider me? I know it is a long way to travel but if I can catch the train in the mornings, then it should not be a problem.0 -
Have you checked what a season ticket would cost you, peak time? Could easily be more than your take-home pay.
I'm all in favour of seeking work in London, but be prepared to move there.0 -

As has been mentioned, the cost of the season tiicket plus the fact thar they may think your longer journey may make you less reliable time wise than someone closer. No harm in trying of course.0 -

yes he could be, he doesnt say if he is though0 -
Here's a map of all the buses that run from euston station:
http://www.tfl.gov.uk/tfl/gettingaround/maps/buses/pdf/euston-2087.pdf
It'll give you a good idea of the names of the surrounding areas.. beware, it's not geographically accurate (Euston is not that close to Waterloo!)
A return bus journey would add a about 15 quid a week to your travel costs (you might be able to add it on to your train ticket for cheaper though)0 -
Good Morning Folks
Many thanks for your replies.
I think the difference in salary would more than compensate cost of season ticket. However, I would be spending 4 hours travelling per day - to London & back.
By the way, I am not planning to relocate.0
