Paying off a CC in Full - Discount?

I am refinancing (using Zopa!) and am about to clear off one of my credit cards.

Is there any hope of negotiating a discount for clearing a card?

Thanks,
Bob

I pay my cards off in full every month, do you think I would be in with a shot of asking for a discount because I am so fantastic?

That's daft. Why are you using Zopa? If you qualify for a loan from Zopa you are also almost certain to qualify for cheaper credit card 0% balance transfer deals that will save you more money. Zopa isn't going to be able to match the typical 3% fee and 0% interest rate on balance transfer deals.

    Yeah.

In the end they didn't go for it. Oh well, CC paid off. 36 months till debt freedom - though the mortgage might take a little longer. ;-(
