thunderbird printing problem

hi there

when i print an email from with in Thunderbird it only prints on one quarter of the A4 page , it prints the full email page but obviously very small as its is only using a quarter of the page instead of the full page.

when i print from any other application/software all is fine. i have been into printer preference and set everything back to default not that i had changed anything anyway.

Check the Thunderbird preferences - it might be set to windowed mode

from Thunderbird, go to File > Page Setup

hi , i have checked that all appears ok, i am at a total loss of what the problem is , my printer is an epson dx8400, i have tried reinstalling this, no difference , many thanks for any help

When you goto file>print click on the printer properties and ensure it is set for A4

many thanks all printing preferences are default i can confirm it is set to A4

hi there i do not have this problem when printing from other programs, i can confirm, scale is set to 100% and also "Shrink to fit page width" which is ticked, many thanks

A couple of suggestions:
1) What happens if you try and print a multi-sheet document?
I ask because some applications allow you to print 2 or 4 sheets on a single page. But not Thunderbird to my knowledge.
2) Is there a rogue add-on like auto-pager in Thunderbird causing this? Try disabling the add-ons and printing
