I've outperformed everyone in my team and I know how good I am. Performance doesn't mean tosh these days.
It's all about who you know and how good you can lick their batty hence why we have people in our place getting paid £50K per annum playing Solitaire (secretly) without realizing that everything is being reflected on the glass pane behind them.
You're a corrupt HR person anyway. Your response doesn't surprise me. Keep licking away sunny jim.
You give the impression that you feel you are indispensable, that you are better than others. The reality is that no one is indispensable, and if you were not there someone else would easily take your place. Realise that, and you'll probably find work much easier, and I imagine you will be an easier person to work with too.Gone ... or have I?0 -
I don't believe you have to a$$ kiss to succeed. I certainly don't and I've just bagged a very nice 11% bonus for my performance last year. Off to the shops now :j0

Perhaps it would have been 20% if you had.
If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.0 -

So what do I have to do to get 30%?

One thing has not changed over the years. Those who see meeting their manager's expectations as a$$ kissing get absolutely nowhere.0

Another thing that has not changed is that those who have not done as well as they would have liked in their careers prefer to believe that it was down to lack of a$$ kissing, rather than the truth which is some combination of luck, talent and application.0

GothicStirling, you'd be surprised how much money I can spend at Tescos in one hour.
Sambucus & DMG, I think I'll settle for my 11% and keep my self-esteem intact

True. I got into management because I happened to have experience in events catering and banqueting at a five-star hotel. I only applied for a waitressing job, when the owners offered the assistant managers job.0
