Tesco Direct - vent!

Ordered a pushchair from Tesco Direct on Wednesday, took the day off work today to be here for the delivery and lo and behold I've just had a phone call to say that it's out of stock!
I find it quite amazing that only on the day of delivery can they then phone me to tell me it's not coming! a call to the customer services dept was about as useful as a choccy teapot, although the lady on the phone seemed to think it's a daft system too! They will send me an email if/when they have it back in stock which is fine but I need the pushchair for our holiday next week!

How annoying
But, I suppose they did call you and let you know rather than just sit around all day.

Hmmmm.....
I'll sleep on it tonight (the annoyance of it, not the non-existent pushchair!) and if I'm still feeling the same tomorrow consider putting a written complaint in. Especially since they tell me it could be 3-5 working days before I get my money back!
(Ahh so Tesco, I'll order another one from you now and pay in 3-5 working days!)

I ordered something from them and got a 7:00-12:00 delivery slot. Got a text or call on each of the three days beforehand confirming delivery and that I would be called an hour before delivery. 11:55 delivery day got a call to say that goods were out of stock. Was livid as I had re-arranged the day.
Best part was getting a customer satisfaction email and giving the lowest score possible for everything, then got another saying "you appear to have scored quite low, was there an issue?"!
Will never use them again.A smile costs little but creates much0 -
OP, did you get a dispatch email? If not then clear something was up and you could have phoned them.0
