The 'designer' handbag made out of a windscreen sun shield was my particular 'highlight' for yesterday's show.
I don't know what these people are smoking.0 -

To be honest, we have an Asda round the corner and I find their produce great so don't bother with markets. Can't stand all that fake shouting about their wares. I rush past very quickly when they start that.0

At my local market the lady sometimes is literally serving me and balling out the prices literally at point blank range"if the state cannot find within itself a place for those who peacefully refuse to worship at its temples, then it’s the state that’s become extreme".Revd Dr Giles Fraser on Radio 4 20170

What is it about fruit shops that makes the staff go on like that. Can you imagine the staff in a clothes shop standing at the door shouting "Come on ladies! Come and get yer dresses! 2 for £20!".
There's a little shop in the middle of Liverpool where they do exactly that! "Today we have some lovely tops, usually £20, for just a fiver". I think it might be a recording though.I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe

I just watched an old super scrimper programme and they actually recommended washing very dirty hands with washing up liquid and.... SAND!!!
I have heard of sugar soap, even salt soap but sand is insane!
I wonder who will pay for them to have their pipes and drains cleared when the sand builds up?!0 -

Just watched the last few minutes of superscrimpers (repeat, of course) How to make a table place marker out of an old cotton reel - come on give us a break!!!
I don't often throw dinner parties or occasions where people need to be told where to sit but if I splashed out on "entertaining" food the last thing I would do it stick a bit of card in the top of an old cotton reel to set the ambiance!
You may have heard me shouting at the TV from where you live!
This series could be so good and is highly relevant to todays economic climate but "could do better". It feels more like they are mocking the audience rather than offering intelligent ideas!
(I feel better for that rant - thanks for listening!);)0 -

Anybody else see Food and Drink this morning with their "budget" recipes? Particularly entertained with the desert for four - bramley apple and blackcurrant souffle costing only around £2 per serving, accompanied by a £7 bottle of desert wine  Wishing my food budget would allow that, I need to stretch that £15 over at least three full days worth of meals for three of us (me and two teenagers who are bottomless pits that cannot be filled) and it can be done0
