I have worked all morning wiv lady wiv multiple sclerosis as a support worker, feel very glad wiv what we've achieved but also glad for me its the weekend! Heard fom the company I work for that I have a tax rebate coming - happy days except it will all go towards debts rather than treats - hey ho! I ran those debts up in the first place so no point in going into regret mode.
Really glad I'm doing this job, making a difference to people's lives - it certainly takes my mind off the intense depression I felt as a single parent wiv glandular fever.
My husband left me when I got depressed and ran off with the social worker that ran the 'carer' groups he was attending.

I`m a support worker too and it definately make you feel a sense of acheivement sometimes doesn`t it. Almost makes up for the crap pay and hours!
Keep your chin up, sounds like you are better off without him.
ha ha ha I manage 2 teams of support workers - one in mental health & one in learning disabilities - supported housing. Definately makes you feel fortunate and such a great feeling to help others get their life back on track
