Friday 25th March - What small DFW things will you be doing today?!

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free :money:
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.
Morning, morning - woop woop it's Friday at last

And another lovely blue sky to wake up to today, what a lovely day

Ok, nothing exciting for me - off to work and then to do my grocery shopping after.
So - time for my list. Hope you all have a fab Friday and are as excited as I am that the weekend's here:beer:

Good morning all!
Well things aren't so happy in NBTY land - I finally got hold of the HR lady yesterday and it sounds like that department is trying to sell me up river  I'm supposed to leave the country in only a few weeks, and they suddenly think my pay package should be reconsidered. I couldn't possibly have waited this long to prepare, so I'm in a terrible bargaining position as I'm already half out the door. Its outrageous - they've told me again and again that it was just an administrative delay, not that anything is in doubt. I am livid, and am considering my best course of action. I need to pull in my advocates, but will try not to burn too many bridges.
Anyway, on the bright side my dad's visit is going very well so far so thats good. Today I:- will walk to work
- leftovers for lunch at work
- drinks after work at the Gherkin - OH got us an invite
- probably dinner out so not so MSE
- send dad on free things to do - thinking the Wellcome Trust, the British Museum and of coruse the parks since its such a nice day
- fight my corner at the office!!!
Hope everybody has a good one and gets out to enjoy the sunshine!Mortgage free by 30:eek:: £28,000/£100,000

(had a case so justified bus ride y'see) - Spend min cash while I'm waiting at Victoria station for an hour and a half  I hear a coffee shop calling…
Happy Friday y'all!0 -
Morning all!
I haven't been posting on this daily thread for a few days, because I felt I was always posting the same things. BUT, turns out that those same daily things are a good reminder of what I'm doing, even if it's "only" the little stuff. Unfortunately, today's not the best MSE day for me, because I've already had the boiler man round - ouch! But there's a positive, even in that. I would once have panicked about where the money would come from to pay (and I would not have had a clue about whether there was enough in the bank), but this time I knew we were fine to cover it, and that was great.
So, on with the (predictable
) list:- checked banking
- checked for/done a couple of surveys
- family sent to work and school with packed lunches - homemade soup for OH, sandwiches with h/made bread for the girls
- laundry out on the line
- dinner form stores/menu
- lunch on the rest of yesterday's soup for me
- am leaving the heating off altogether for now - realised when the boiler was out of action that we didn't miss the morning blast of heating at all!
- the rest of the day should be no spend (hope so!)
- tidy the house a bit in prep. for the weekend
Hope everyone has a good Friday
NTBY - really hope you sort out the thing with work - no wonder you're fuming!2011 wins: 2 day gym membership, film download, NETBOOK!Debt at LBM: [STRIKE][/STRIKE] [STRIKE]26/1/11 = £4733.26[/STRIKE] 11/6/11 = £3759.3840 -
