Nail varnish has made my skin funny

Options
Took my nail varnish off on Monday night - I had to spend ages as I'd used base coat, 2 layers of normal, a layer of crackle and top coat:rotfl:
Anyway, I used Cutex Non-acetone remover as acetate really dries my skin, but this stuff has mad my skin so hard and cracked. It doesn't matter how much cream I've put on, it's like I've lost the feeling in my fingertips.

Any help anyone?

That happened to me once when I used this glitter polish that was really hard to get off. Like you, it took ages to come off. I think the effect on the skin is just because it was in contact with the remover for longer than normal. The pads of my fingertips were hard and cracked & felt dead. It looked vile. It actually took a good week of just putting cream on as much as possible before they went back to normal.
