Would cutting and copying defeat keylogging?

It seems too easy to be a likely solution but would copying and transferring passwords using ctrl+c then ctrl+v be of any use to foil a trojan-installed software keylogger?
Failing that, is there a ready solution for safe online banking if the anti-malware stuff can't shift the b*****d?
What if I simply enter the characters in something other than normal, left to right sequence..?

Working around a keylogger if you think you have one is not the way to solve the problem. Do some scans, find it, and remove it.0

None of the scans reveal it. Full stop. It is possible I've had a false alarm but it's rendered me very wary and I want to do something extra and proactive to protect myself when accessing online banking.0 -

Bit of a nuclear option, but a reinstall would do it.0

Uhm, my computer is susceptible to attack. I think I'll leave my passwords in a file in text format so I can cut and paste them. Yup, no dangers there that I can see!0

Hi, having has plenty of experience with having and dealing with key loggers i am pretty sure that copy and pasting from a file would work but would completely defeat the object of evading theft. If you belive you have a problem do everything you can to find it and solve it. I no longer manually enter my passwords after being the victim of account theft. I have set-up my own way of entering them automatically via keyword which would give a key logger a false impression.
In the meantime while you solve the problem there are a few things i can suggest, firstly you could type your password with random characters inserted and delete them after. (Password entered as paddsswoggrd). Another idea would be to enter your password using the on screen keyboard but i am unsure if this would be entirely effective as the key logger may be logging keypresses or characters entered into a specific field.
Good luck and my best advice is that you post in the major geeks forum as they will help you with pretty much anything. find them at majorgeeks.com0 -
Does your security suite not have a virtual keyboard .

I've had a look at password keeper software tools, and decided they were too much hassle.
I keep my passwords as a Word doc. on a USB stick now (removed when not using. Nobody else to protect from.) so that I can copy and paste from that.
As a backup for the USB, I write the passwords in a Word document, and use the Windows 'snipping tool' to take a screenshot, and save it as a JPG image instead of text file. Deleting the text, then not saving the Word document afterwards of course, which is on the USB stick anyway.0 -
There are ways to capture what is in the clipboard, so unless you use something to clear it afterwards, you could make it less secure.0
