Currys/Washer advice please?

Hello, I would like some advice if possible please.
I bought a washer from currys Sept 2009 and I paid on credit card. In July 2010 it broke down and they fixed it. It was an electrical fault. It is now out of warranty but has just broken down again, the same fault as last time and it is only 18 months old. Do I have any chance of getting them to sort it out do you think???
Thank you in advance.

Edit to add: I don't think I'll get anywhere with Currys from what I am reading here but does anyone know how liable (if that's the right word) my credit card company will be on this issue, re the time issue that has lapsed?

I would start by contacting customer services (0844 561 6263) or customerservices@currys.co.uk. Don't forget to mention that you'd expect it to last longer, sale of goods act, something something. They will probably ask for an independent report, but let them respond first, just in case they don't (it'll save you a bit of hassle!)Squirrel! If I tell you who I work for, I'm not allowed to help you. If I don't say, then I can help you with questions and fixing products. Regardless, there's still no secret EU law.
