    Actually there is ( or was ) an element of truth in that, my dear old Dad always said to me, never buy a used car with a Z or an I in the number plate as they are Irish registered and will have been wrecked.

    ( All of that has changed with the new type numbers ).

    Indeed, however a lot of plates from Northern Ireland have been sold here as " Private Plates " which muddies the waters.

    You can. I just have.

    £75pcm (finance) to cover depreciation, repairs (in warranty, brand new car), MOTs (it doesn't need any), etc.

    I saved that in insurance and VED alone before I put a drop of fuel in it at 50+MPG instead of 30.
