Tyres again
I need to put some tyres on 13" rims, so I can move it around.
(Old car, tyres have perished, to the point where the sidewall has rotted through.
I am the pround owner of new tyres off ebay, 4 for a tenner)
I'm not paying £10 a corner at the local tyre place.
Anyone reckon if I should get 15", 18", or 24" tyre levers?
(I might even try the lighter fluid trick)

Theres a video on youtube "redneck tyre" (or tire).... something anyway, he has his car on a trolley jack with the wheel off and puts the wheel/tyre under the brake disc, he lowers the disc onto the tyre to break the bead all around.

There's another guy on a farm who takes his tyres off with two levers and a hammer, he made it look so simple

lighter fluid trick is for refitting to the beads you put the new tyre on & 'seat' one side as best you can squirt lighter fluid inside tyre and strike a match, the expanding explosive force seats the tyre perfectly and you finish off with a pump. You have to remove the valve core though to allow some gas to escape0 -
This guy is lucky to be alive, look where he casually puts his 5 litres of petrol!
