I have two lovely bunnies:D but im worried they are going to get bored, I had to ditch there old run new one will not be here for fourteen days.
So they have a large two tier hutch, so i went to PAH today to get some boredom busters and I nearly fainted at the prices . I had been given wicker ball and these wooden things they gnaw on from a friend when I first got them. Theyve pretty much had it.
Anyone got any cheap alternatives....
or know of anywhere i could get some a little cheaper?
thank you

Pets at home website has 3 for 2 on most small pet products inc. hay, food, toys, panacur, and free delivery over £29, could you stock up on useful bits and get the toys as the freebies? I have ordered six of the wicker balls and lots of other things as mine love them, and I get the boredom breakers chill n' chew mats from ebay at £1.75 each with P&P - usually costs £10 or less for 4 (have only ever seen them £5 each usually!).0

We got play stuff from Wilkos for our rabbit. We adopted her from our local farm park - they'd had to separate her from all the others cos she was so aggressive; she's pedigree apparently and they'd got her to breed from, once she'd killed 2 litters after giving birth they gave up! I was visiting there one day with work and she was cooped up in a tiny hutch cos if anything went near her she tried to maim it! I gave them a tenner and then spent 140 quid on a big hutch with a run. We've had her about 5 years, and she's like a dragon - it's ever so difficult cleaning her out cos she kind of rears up on her hind legs and hisses (I'm not kidding!), and tries to punch and bite you. We absolutely adore her, she's so feisty. If I have to get her out of her cage for any reason then I have to wear gardening gloves or I'd be scratched to death. Anyway, we got her this ball from Wilkos that you can put treats in, they nudge it and they fall out. It was less than a quid. She loved that so we bought her some cheap balls for dogs, and she'll cheerfully chase them round too. And flowerpots, she tosses them in the air, then hops and fetches them and does it again! And a bit of random tube that we found in a car park, she runs round and round through that. She's the craziest creature, the only rabbit I've ever known that WILL NOT eat greens or veg, she'll only have Wilkos guinea pig food and the occasional parsley. She's bl00dy brilliant, if a little @rsey! So, after that great long ramble, there's no need to spend a fortune - flower pots and cheap plastic balls works for our rabbit, she is odd though.0

Hay Experts are really fab and the products tend to be better & cheaper than PAH. I'm not their biggest fan!LBM - 19/03/2011

Try to think creatively about the stuff you have lying around - can you get all 'Blue Peter' with some cardboard boxes stuffed with paper, treats wrapped up in tissue, bits of tube, old kiddy toys etc. Perhaps dangling carrots might interest them for a while?
My ferrets' favourite toy is a box of shredded paper that was used to deliver a colleague's new headlights!
Also, do you have harnesses and extendable leads for them? They may enjoy going for a walk on any grass you have, either in the garden or a nearby park.Trust me - I'm NOT a doctor!0
