Trouble with Firefox 4

I do like using Firefox but since using firefox 4 I can't get into my Talk-talk webmail account. It lets me into my account but won't let me click on the mail. It works when I use IE or Chrome.
Anyone else have this problem.

It's not fully released yet, it is still RC (release candidate), use the Mozilla forums first, but thanks for the heads up

It was released yesterday or I wouldn't have downloaded it. Also I searched all over the Mozilla support site and found nothing to help me.

I don't know the reason why it doesn't work, but adding IETab2 to Firefox might get you back up and running until you track down the problem.

See the work around linked below, posted by NT, it worked for me.

Although the above problem will work and enable you to access your email in FF4 altering the config files can be a bit dangerous if you dont know what you are doing. Until Talktalk get around to fixing this problem I would use IE8/9 to access your email, both work fine.

It has been caused by Firefox making their browser more secure and Talk talk maintaining an old system to access webmail. Altering the config files could make FF4 more vulnerable to attack. Its entirely up to you, but the IE8/9 workaround seems to be the best for now until talktalk get around to updating the site.

Another workaround would be to use a portable version of the email client Thunderbird (produced by the same people as Firefox) to access your email from anywhere. Google "portable thunderbird" to find it. Install it on a usb stick and then you can access your email, and take the results with you from any computer with a usb port. Whats more it's all free, apart from the cost of the usb stick and I am sure MSE members can tell you where to get a bargain usb stick from!

I had the same problem as OP. I just uninstalled FF4 and went back to FF 3.6. Sorted!

I routinely use Firefox portable on my work PC (locked down and tied to IE), so I'm quite familiar with portable apps, but I'm genuinely curious as to the circumstances under which someone would use a portable Thunderbird when webmail is, by its very definition, accessible on any net-enabled computer?
