Pet insurance maximum payout?

Hi all, I'm new to this forum, any help much appreciated
I and my much loved cat have just moved house. I now live on a main road, but she has lots of sense and I can't find it in my heart to limit her freedom.
Clearly I need insurance in order to avoid bankrupting myself for vet bills should she be in an accident, but can anyone suggest what the maximum cover level should be?
(Cat in question is a rescue moggy, about a year old, healthy, spayed and microchipped)
Thanks
