Lost my job because I was loosing them too much money, apparantly I would loose them too much if I worked for them for much longer.

I said "there's no jobs about any more" and he just laughed and said "I know" :(

I'm terribly sorry to hear that you've lost your job, it's no easy task working on a till in such a busy supermarket, you need to have eyes in the back of your head to juggle all that's going on around you, especially when it comes to balancing the tills.

Good luck, and I do hope that you find another job soon.

Been though all this in the investigation - he just decided it was human error, and I'm too much of a risk to keep on :o.

I used to work at ALDI, I was always stuck on the til because I was the new guy and everybody else hated going on the til. I left after three months, I hated the job. They would give you ten minutes to do a job that would take two people fifteen minutes

Our tils did`nt work out how much change the customer was due so we had to do it in our heads, the last thing you need when it`s a busy wkend. My til was always down a pound or two

I feel for you working on the til in a place like that, it can be really stressful and its so easy to make a mistake because ure trying to do a number of things at once

We had a group of ppl come in once and do a distraction then somebody walked out with a TV. A guy came over to my til and said his wife had lost her purse, had it been handed in. Whilst I was talking to him two other people walked out with the TV as my back was turned, their quite sly. They later came back and I identified them, they were known to the police already. You need eyes in the back of ure head in retail

thats 1 of the things i hated about aldi was the till not working how muc change to give, coming from an environment where the till tells you what change to give it was hard,
