Hello all,
Sorry for my first post to be a rant but here goes.
I got my volvo 850 est (1994) insured with them on nov 2009, comprehesive cover for £33 per month, witch i did not consider too bad as i had no no-claims bonus due to me having a classic vw camper, (Different type of insurance, and company).
Anyway i got my renewal letter, and made a mistake by not reading it properly, i read it as £191.10, which i thought was a reduction due to having a years no claims on it, my mistake it £191.10 per month.
I have been unwitingly paying this since november, and it has drained my bank account to the point of being in the red, i am now struggling to keep on top of thing's.
I have spoke to them, they said that was the best price they could give me, which i do not understand, i am 42 years old not 17, they will not admit any mistake, i have paid my money, they will not return it, they have done nothing wrong.
I had to sell the car on monday to a work mate, at a loss, so i had some money at least, and i cancelled the policy online as they advised, but they said there would be more money to pay due to ending the policy early.
At the moment i do not know what too do, they have brought me to my knees financially, and i am going to struggle for quite a while to get back on my feet.
Could anyone offer any advice, if there is anything i can do.
Many thanks,
Eddie.
