Hello to you all,
I will shortly be clearing the balances on 3 credit cards but before I go ahead and close the accounts I was wondering which of the 3 companies are best for offering future balance transfer deals or customer loyalty deals?
The cards I will be paying off shortly are:
Halifax one card APR 15.9% Current Limit £1,000
Barclaycard Football APR 13.9% Current Limit £2,500
Creation Silver Card APR 18.9% Current Limit £1,000
I realise that based on the APR's above the Barclaycard might be the one to stick with but I would be more interested in keeping one of the other cards open if their future loyalty transfer deals were better.
Many thanks for any help you can offer,
creditcardnewbie

Hi zx81,
Thank you for your post. I am pretty new to Halifax myself so that is very encouraging what you have told me. That definitely sounds like what I am looking for.
Many thanks,

Hi Degenerate,
Thank you for your post. 12 months 0% is fantastic. I did see from some of the posts on here that Barclaycard sometimes do (or did) a Life of Balance transfer of 6.9% also.
I reckon my decision will be between the Halifax and Barclaycard.
Many thanks again for posting,

Barclaycard offer me 0% 12-month balance transfers every month. Worth keeping if you think you might have a balance you want to transfer in the future.0

Hi Scott,
Thanks for posting. Sorry to hear about your experience with Silver. A similar thing happened to me when I first received my Silver card. I was told 9 months 0% but was then told it would only be 6 months 0%. I was told the 9 months offer had been withdrawn at the time of my application even though it was still advertised on their site. I did try pursuing it with their customer services but to no avail.
So, out of the 3 cards I think the Silver will "definitely" be closed.

Hi danouk,
Thanks for your post. I think I shall definitely be retaining the Barclaycard. The 12 month balance transfers offer is one that would definitely appeal to me a lot.
