Applied online bank of scotland for credit card how long to hear ?

Hi all few quick questions
story
i have applied for a credit card through my bank which is bank of Scotland for all in one card i have no ccjs and my credit expert report and the other site are up to date and correct in past few years just had 1 late payment on mobile bill but all in all all accounts up to date or paid off been 7 in total few which is car agreements bank loans which are settled now
i applied online which i thought would be instant decision but havn't heard anything back its only been 1 day but what is usual procedure
do they get in contact ? how long does it take ?
