Will soon be running some cables round my loft, 1 for lighting and one for 6 double power skts (will prob only be using 2 at a time max, no elec fires etc only tv and phone charger etc)
Am i right to use 2.5mm twin and earth for the power circuit and 1 or 1.5mm for lighting circuit?
Lighting will consist of 4 mains voltage spots
Many thanks in advance

Yep cable sizes look ok.Be aware the sockets should be on a ring main.
Also new circuits should be inspected under part P of the building regs...0 -
depends on the protective device, loading, and any derating factors to which size cable you use. dont wish to sound coarse but please if you dont know dont do it, also would recomend interlinked mains smoke alarms if your installing electrics in the loft.
get a registered elecrician in to quote is the best bet me thinks not diy.0 -
agree with the interlinked mains smoke detectors.
99% of domestic propertys ring mains must be wired in 2.5mm t&e0
