There is in my opinion no need to give them that information and as explained in an earlier post if they insisted on it at registration I would always give them a made up account number with my actual banks sort code.

If and when they found me employment I would tell them I needed to change my bank account details.

As ID fraud is still very much apparent, I would not give these details out to them unless they offered me any temporary employment which most of the time never happened.

It is odd how they ask for personal info such has details if they aren't guaranteeing you work, Makes me wonder what they do with it if they don't employ you.

Good point, There must be 1000's of peoples bank account details and NI numbers unnecessarily on file at recruitment agencies who have registered and they have never found employment for. They would also probably have a copy of your passport photo and number which they say they need on registering. Could be a potential ID fraud disaster waiting to happen if ever these details went missing.

    Hiya

Thank you guys,,,,I wasn't happy in giving them the details and wasn't sure if its just this agency or do all agencies ask for these details.

I`ll talk to them and ask if its ok to give bank details later on once job is found and see what they say.

    Thanks again everyone.:):)
