Is my DECT on its way out?

My Panasonic KX-TG7322E has been giving me problems obviously from the weekend or possibly earlier. I say that because by coincidence my internet connection has also been erratic for a while now.

Leaving any internet issue aside, the phone has been crackling to various degrees from mildly intrusive to awful; sometimes there has been a low frequncy white noise hiss that faintly pulsates. I have tried 17070 opt2 with both the Panny and an old BT Response 120 analogue; both give minimally percetible or zero noise. Tests are via the test socket to eliminate other wiring.

My Caller Display is also not working.

Any ideas? Please!

Microfilter on it's way out possibly.

My (different make) DECT acted up the other day - a very quiet ring tone (and on the base station only) to indicate an incoming call.

As I always do, I tried the "it's a computer, it's confused" option of a mains reboot. That fixed it.
Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.

Do you use WiFi? Many problems arise with co-interference with 'n' range WiFi and DECT. Keep them apart to avoid problems.
