Possible Daft House insurance question

Hi can Anybody help,
I moved house about 2 years ago and took out new insurance policy to cover both buildings and contents. I did have contents insurance on my previous residence which was rented, with a different insurer. I have since found out I have been paying for insurance on this previously rented property. Obviously I need to cancel the policy and have found out how the insurer is but is there anything I need to be aware of before I contact them. Any help/advice would be appreciated.

And they let people out who just allow unknown debits to go out of their bank for years on end ?0
