Hi,
Does anyone know if a private landlord has to have a gas safety check carried out prior to new tenants moving in or is it sufficient to have had one done within the past year (when previous tenants lived there) and give the new tenants a copy of this?
Thanks in advance.

Annually should be fine I would think. Unless the equipment has changed or been radically overhauled.Truth always poses doubts & questions. Only lies are 100% believable, because they don't need to justify reality. - Carlos Ruiz Zafon, The Labyrinth of the Spirits0

it has to be done no longer than 12 months since it was last done , so yes it is perfectly legal for it to overlap a change of tenants (PS I hope you are the tenant not the LL as this level of ignorance in a LL would be :eek:0
