Google maps sat nav nokia 5800

Hi everyone,

I have a nokia 5800 with google maps installed which you can use as a sat nav. Well I enter my destination which it finds ok then when I start driving after about 15 seconds my phone screen goes black and I get a message saying 'not available in the country/region' anyone out there have any ideas why this is happening?:o

why not use the free nokia OVI maps?

Yeah got these on my phone too, just liked the satnav feature, if only it worked! Cheers.

? satnav feature on the OVI maps works a treat, I downloaded the maps for the UK as well so i dont
even need a net connection/phone signal to use it.

Even has an option that reads road names out as you go. Not sure if thats helpful or annoying.

Both OVI and Google Maps work just fine, I would suspect a configuration error within the handset itself.

Make sure you update your phone and are running the latest version of the phones operating software - 52.0.007. Version 50.xxx was a dog and ruined the phone. If your mobile is on Orange, you'll need to unlock your phone in order to get the 52.0.007 version.
