JSA and P45

Options
Hi. Dd was made redundant in Dec- she never recieved a P45 from them, and no one knows how to contact the owners.

She was then on JSA for 8 weeks, but has just started a new job.:j They need her P45 - will the job center send her one or is there any way of getting one?

Thanks

She needs to do a P46.

    http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/forms/p46.pdf

That will eventually sort out her tax code.

How about no longer being masochistic?
    How about remembering your divinity?
How about unabashedly bawling your eyes out?
How about not equating death with stopping?
  • Great, thanks for the help.

is it ok to print that off or does it have to be an original form?

The JobCentre will send out a P45 when the claim is closed. This is done within days of the claim being closed.

Personally, I wouldnt bother with the P46.
