Tom Tom for Citroen C8
My OH has a Citroen C8 and it has an anti glare screen (sorry I can't remember what it is actually called). We bought one of the early Tom Toms and it didn't work due to the screen so we ended up buying an extra aerial extension and that made it work.
I bought a newer flat screen Tom Tom for my car and again that doesn't work on my OHs car and we haven't been able to source an aerial for that one so he has stuck with the old one. The old one has now developed so many faults that it is barely usable and we need to replace it, can anyone recommend a Tom Tom that works on a C8 windscreen or has anyone else found an aerial extension that fits a newer Tom Tom.
We have tried other brands and they also don't work and we actually have a preference for the Tom Tom and would prefer to stick with that brand.

There is a proper name for these screens, in Renaults they have a blue tinge from memory.
You need to find the aerial I am afraid, as the windscreen fitted to several cars are well known for stopping the GPS signal.
I don't think it would really work if you put it on a side window, but other than waiting for the aerial attachment coming available for your new TomTom all you can really do is buy an older TomTom that you can get the aerial attachment for.
You could always update your old TomTom, I did this to good effect with my early TomTom One, the one with the SD card, only so we could use it in France, as only that one had the full european maps on it.
Though I bought a Navman in the Halfords sale 2 years ago, not as good as a TomTom but a bigger screen, RDS traffic alerts and full european maps already loaded. Bargain at £129 in the sale, reduced from £249.
I am saving for a newer TomTom though, they are far better.0 -

You need a Tom Tom Go External Antenna. Available from all good shops and on eBay.
You just need to site it properly next to a side window.
