Online Stores - I make them - but....

A link to your website in your signature on MSE would be a good start! This thread has already been viewed 265 times so that's a few potential customers you might have missed. I would also go down the SEO route if I was in your position, it's tough to get on the first page of Google and all the search engines but possible.
There are startups springing up all over the place I would start getting your business name onto as many small business directories you can find.
Good luckDreaming about 20/20 vision :rotfl:0 -
No, it would be breaking the Forum Rules on advertising is what it would be!A link to your website in your signature on MSE would be a good start!Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
You do know that you have to buy SSL Certificates when building/installing online stores?0

At least having a link in your profile maybe? Is that allowed?! Do you build these sites yourself through HTML/CSS etc etc?0

Write a business plan. This is the most basic document for anyone starting up a business to stop them groping in the dark. It will cover a whole host of areas you've not even considered which is equally critical, plus will have a section on marketing which will prompt you to do further research on your competition and the methods you will use.0

Hi All - sorry for late reply - I have been travelling for a few days.
To answer some of the points raised.
- As already pointed out I can't post a link, but feel free to PM me - I will reply.
- Yes - all done using CSS/HTML and PHP - with some flash too.
- SSL - Of course - I have installed plenty of certificates over the years it's a standard proceedure for me - unless people just want to use Paypal or another payment gateway - then SSL is not required.
Business Plan - I am in the middle of formulating this as we speak - but someone has asked for a store - so I am in the middle of making one which puts the plan on hold until the store is complete.
I really do appreciate all the responses.0 -

Have you tried starting a thread on this site, detailing what you do, hoping to get work from it.Any tips on how I can take this forward? I would post examples of the stores I have made - but I know posting links here is frowned upon
