3 mobile one plan - why does my data say 1GB can anyone on one plan help?

Hello

My new contract with 3 has just started today and i am now on the one plan. I checked my 3 this morning and it states i have 2000 mins, 5000 texts etc, but next to internet allowance it says 1GB (well it actually says it in MB's)

But the one plan has unlimited (proper unlimited) internet usage with no capped amount, so why does it say 1GB???

I called 3 and they said not to worry, that they just put 1GB there, as they have to put something and however much i use it will always be free.

Am just wondering if anyone else on the one plan with 3 has the same thing when they log into my3.

My contract states under internet that its fully inclusive and unlimited, but am worried if i go over the 1GB 'allowance' i will get a huge bill.

look in add ons for internet max
  • Take no notice of what it says, i set up my 3 account over 7 months ago, and it was supposed to be unlimited and not subject to the fair use policy, I have been arguing with 3 for 7 months, Mine first showed 512mb, then after 2 months went up to 1024, now it is showing 2048...

3, yes are the cheapest, but are also the worst when it comes to customer support...

Yes i asked again and again too, if the usage was unlimited and they said yes, even 'unofficially' telling me i could cancel my broadband account with them as i can now use my phone to tether my laptop! Without risking any more charges a month.

Actually looked more on line after making the intial post, and on 3's website it says that customers on the one plan are still being shown one GB, as they have not yet changed their systems, but its definately unlimited and soon my3 will be changed to reflect this.

I have no add ons added, just looked. But wouldnt have thought it was classed as a add on, as its just part of the ordinary plan, not an additional extra - all customers on the one plan get unlimited internet.

Im on south coast, i cant fault the coverage at all. But think it also depends on the phone you have (what the receptions like on it) as my last phone (blackberry bold) had a fantastic coverage, new phones still perfectly acceptable (htc desire) but not as good, and my boyfriend has a samsung and his reception is pretty bad.
