250 million for FTB shared equity scheme. 10,000 to be helped. Funded from bank levy.
SMI to be extended by another year, so 3 years not 2 years. 100,000 unemployed homeowners will be helped this year by the change.
Corporation tax to be lowered by 2% not 1%, and bank levy to be increased so banks don't get the benefit.
Enterprise zones, most Oop North, up to 100% discount on rates, manufacturing incentives, planning restrictions eased, local councils get to keep rates to reinvest for 25 years, etc.
NI may get a lower rate of corporation tax to compete with ROI.
Rate relief for small firms extended by a year.
50p tax rate to be reviewed, and proposal to merge NI and Income Tax to be consulted on.

Just shows that it's needed and people can't afford to pay their mortgages though.
It's not a good thing. It's yet more money taken from other areas to keep people propped up.
3 years will probably go on to be four years and so on. It isn't fixing anything. It's just helping people keep what they can't afford. 3 years is a rather long time, considering those who cannot work due to diabilities etc already get it for the lifetime of the mortgage.0 -
of course it's needed - we have over 2.5 million people unemployed and people working less hours.Graham_Devon wrote: »Just shows that it's needed and people can't afford to pay their mortgages though.
