There is a very good chance that i (along with a lot more staff) may be made redundant very soon. My delimma is that until 14th April i have not worked for the company for 2 years.
Can anyone tell me if the fact that i will reach the 2 years during my notice period will it class me as working for the company for 2 years or just the 1?

How many people are involved?
if 20 or more then they cannot terminate anyone for 30 days from issuing at risk notices.
What's your notice?
Does the company normaly pay PILON.
redundancy service is worked back from termination date OR later if statutory notice would have given you a later date.

OK the statutory notice will be 1week so from the date they terminate you have an extra week, to add to that to get the date for redundancy if they don't use any of the notice and give full PILON.
You could argue your full notice which will get you into the 2 years but if they know what they are doing they can stick to one week.
Since they have made people redundant before what have they done for those with marginal service, some companies are generous some are mean.0 -
Truefully i dont know. i am pretty sure they will try and get away with the smallest payment, thats the kind of company they arebe who you are and say what you feel.
