Really stunned by what is happening in Cyprus, taking up to 10% of monies from prudent savers!! don't by these excuses that a lot of it is laundered money.
Really glad I have now decided to O/P on the mortgage does not seem savers are safe if Cyprus is setting a precedent here.Original mortgage £158,000 over 25 years, end date 2036

Overpaid Mortgage by £400 this month, leaving 144,031.
Bit skint this month as ive had a real nightmare month, drain blocked under the extension lifting the man hole. The whole kitchen had to come out and floor replaced. Cost me £500 excess and I spent about £200 quid installing a double skinned manhole cover. Lucky I had emergency savings.Original mortgage £158,000 over 25 years, end date 2036

Higher than when you updated in May, or have you purchased more since then?
Our S&S ISA is taking a bit of a beating as well, something like +9.5% at best for the year, now down to +2.5% or so.
