Bang Bang another overpayment of £400 down leaving an outstanding mortgage of £124,646.

Shares are sitting at £13,601 bit of a hit on the share price this month. Amazing when you have a large number of shares the fluctuations can really chunk the holdings up or down.

Wow looking at the over payments to date I am now over £20,000 paid down!!

Well its five oclock in the morning here and I cant sleep so what better time than to make a massive overpayment on my mortgage as its my free month with my double payment. £1300 big ones smacked down on the mortgage. Just spoke to the nice man at First Direct who seemed very chipper for five in the morning he let me know that the outstanding balance is £123,346 heading nicely toward another milestone of the under £120,000 mark.

    :) Mortgage Balance = £0 :)

Oh you are doing really well. Tempted to sell the shares?
  • Hi tootallulah yeah there is always temptations with selling my shares unfortunately there are tax implications for selling outside certain holding period. I don't think ill touch them until the mortgage overpayment plan is in its tenth year.

Another overpayment this month of £400 leaving an outstanding balance of £122,524. Shares are now £14,571 the shares are really over the place month on month up and down even when buying more shares. I guess thats always the issue with shares.
