Halifax Clarity - how long to open?

I returned the signed credit agreement last Wednesday. The account is still not showing online nor have I received any new paperwork/the card/the PIN.

Does anyone know what Halifax's usual turnaround would be for processing the agreement?

I sounds like I'm about a week ahead of you in the queue. :D

I received my PIN last week, but so far no card and the account is not showing online (I'm guessing it may need to be added manually when I find out my account number).

I phoned this afternoon to check the form was received. It has and apparently my account is currently being "built". Apparently this will take about 10 working days, as the supply of bricks and mortar has been delayed :rotfl: (sorry, couldn't help but joke about the built part).

Quite a bit slower than I expected - would have thought they'd want to get the card to me asap so I can start spending on it!

I applied for a different Halifax credit card about a year and a half ago and I remember that taking quite a long time to get set up as well.

I just got one and it took about 14 days from my posting back the signed agreement.

Also it won't magically appear on your online account. Online somewhere under 'change details' (I think) there is an option to add accounts and you need the card number to add it.

When I logged onto Halifax online banking today, it asked whether I wanted to add my new "Standard Mastercard" to my online account. So it appears the account is all set up - just waiting on the card and PIN.

I've also set up the direct debit online as I'm still on the old online banking.
