Credit cards not showing on my credit report

in Credit cards
I'm trying to build up a good credit history, and I have 2 credit cards. I sent off for a copy of my credit report the other day, which I do quite often to keep an eye on things, and since moving house 8 months ago my 2 credit cards don't show up on my credit report, nor does my Next Directory account. The only thing which does show is my phone contract and the 1 default I had 3 years ago for £200. How do I get these credit cards to appear on my report? One is a Barclaycard the other is Halifax Clarity card. I believe it might be because my address can be awkward (it's Flat x, x House, x Court) but I want these to show on my report as I make full payments on time etc.

Give the CRA's a call, when I had a problem I called them and they searched for them and found them, failing that it states on Experian's website (somewhere) files are regulary updated four weekly from memory but its been well over that so call them or email of course
& im assuming the credit card comps have your correct details of new address etc?Can I find out my credit score? You do not have a single credit score or rating. Different organisations take different information into account when working out your credit score and may have different scores for different products. (Kindly from Experian)0 -

Yes the companies have my updated address, my statements show my address etc.
So I just contact Experian and Equifax and ask them to update it? Will they do this if I just have a £2 copy of my credit report, I don't need to sign up for the pay monthly account or anything? Sorry for the questions!0 -

Yep contact both Experian & Equifax and do not forget Call Credit, they will most definatly search them for you if they cant find them over the phone like they did for me, more than likely they will add some kind of notice of dispute and contact the companies for you or even give you the credit card companys details direct to the relevant department who will update them for you with the cra's.
Will not have to sign up for any monthly account certainly not
Also if you have a copy of your previous reports when they were showing in your old address that would help matters as well.
P.S Hope spelling & grammer is ok its getting on now in the day :rotfl:Can I find out my credit score? You do not have a single credit score or rating. Thanks for your help! I looked on Experian and for Statutory reports you can only contact them via email or post with any queries or disputes so I have sent them an email. I will look into Equifax and Call Credit tomorrow!0 -

I had exactly the same problem this week and phoned Experian as I am on a free trial of CreditExpert. They said it was due to the formatting of my address (Flat X, Block X, X Building) and that each of my card issuers has my address in a slightly different format - you can see these in the 'linked addresses' section. Even the local council have my address in a strange format which meant my electoral roll info is missing from my Experian report. The guy on the phone was apologetic but said he wasn't comfortable searching and manually adding my accounts and that I should contact each of the card issuers individually to get each address amended to the exact same format. I decided it wasn't worth the effort as I'm not looking to apply for anything soon plus I may well move house this year.
Interestingly my Equifax report is fine with all my credit accounts and electoral roll info present.0 -
Argh I hope I don't have to go through the bother of asking companies to format my address in the same way! Especially as most companies will use an automatic system (type in postcode, it brings up address etc.)0

I hope someone can help me or give me some advice, as this is causing me no end of problems and I'm frustrated!
I got my Experian Credit Report only to find I had no credit showing on there at all, it's blank! My partner got his and it only had on a bank account from his previous address, again everything is missing including his mortgage etc.
He called up Experian and they changed his address and said things should start to pull through, however they weren't too helpful and said he may have to contact each organisation he has credit with and ask them to all format the address in the same way!
Today we've looked and some things have finally pulled through for him, however they're now all appearing twice. His credit card is coming up twice and as a result is showing his has twice the amount of credit on it than he does etc, the mortgage has come through twice (this will obviously cause problems!) and the British Gas account which was settled when we first moved in is showing twice. It still hasn't pulled through a Lloyds TSB credit card or his bank accounts.
How on earth do we get this sorted? I spoke to Barclaycard about there credit card not sppearing on my record and they simply said 'speak to Experian, not our problem, we last sent off a report of your account last month to Experian.'
I can't understand how Experian can make a complete mess of this when some things at least appear on Equifax??0 -

I'm sorry you (and others) have had problems with this. We're implementing some changes soon that should help with these address formatting issues.
In the meantime, this is certainly something we can help you resolve. Please get in touch using the email address in my MSE biog and we'll sort this out. Don't worry about seeing accounts twice - they key thing is that you can see them. Lenders will only see them once as they use different systems to access the data.
