insidewindows7 - too good to be true?

Has anyone come across or subscribed to Inside Windows 7 via the website insidewindows7 (dotcodotuk)

I got an email inviting me to a 'totally free trial version of Windows 7' + several other freebies which sounded useful such as 80 tools to get the most out of Windows 7 + an ebook about using Windows 7.

It all looks too true, so I'm ignoring it for now, but I have to admit, I'm tempted so I'd be interested to hear if anyone has tried it.

looks dodgy I would mark the email as spam and move on.

when you install win7 you get 30days before you have to activate it so I would think it is just a useless install disc they offer you.

as for the rest of the software it is likely free software or there will be better free alternatives available out there.

as for the ebook I know there are 1000s of free windows guides on the internet already, I'm sure there is a free ebook one out there.

Not here but it is published by agora and it appears to be a newsletter, probably better reading here, and ask us(royal we:D). or try http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=inside+windows+7&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-GB:official&client=firefox-a

There is no such thing as a free lunch
Remember kids, it's the volts that jolt and the mills that kill.
  • Even if it's not dodgy, installing useless things is generally a bad idea.

I'm not sure if it's still available, but you could download a free trial copy of Windows 7 from Microsoft. I think it had to be activated after 30 days, and would expire after 90 days.

As for the "useful tools" and general advice on Windows 7... well, the web is a big place! There is so much free information and so much free software, the only problem is deciding which of the free options to take - and that's got to be better than paying to eliminiate your choice!

Surely that's a free trial of the insidewindows Newsletter, not the OS. :)

    Why bother? :)

£14.95 for a single issue of an 8 page newsletter!!
