Credit Card Rejection letters without applying

My Mother, in her eighties, has received 4 letters of rejection from different Credit Card providers even though she has never applied for any of them. I think that someone maybe using her name and address to apply for these cards in the hope of intercepting a successful application with an enclosed card...am I being overly suspicious

Definantly not overly suspicious, I would recommend you try and help your mother access her three credit reports from Experian, Equifax & Call Credit just to see whats going on and whats been applied for and get any inappropriate searches removed and looked into.
Can I find out my credit score?
You do not have a single credit score or rating. Different organisations take different information into account when working out your credit score and may have different scores for different products. (Kindly from Experian)

Maybe worth speaking with your mother and together contact where her current account/s are held and put a fraud indicator on the accounts for the time being until this is cleared up.
