Ageas

Am looking to get a life insurance/critical illness cover and been told that the best option is Ageas (prev Fortis). Been trying to check on them but there are not many reviews around... Anyone heard of Ageas??
Thanks in advance.

The recommendation for Ageas would normally come with reasons why. So, what made them better than the alternatives and most suitable for you?

Are you looking for quality or budget?

  • An adviser I spoke to said that they can offer the affordable and very good quality cover (critical illness cover). He even send me the comparision table with other insurance providers and it did look really good.
Looking for a good quality critical illness cover and a budget life insurance.

Is your adviser independent, offering products from the whole market, selecting from a panel of insurers, or tied to just one company?

  • An independent - according to him, covering the whole market. He's given me quotes from Scottish Provident and Zurich but the one from Ageas was the best...

You could have a look at this independent website to compare cover and features of the policy.

A quick look shows that Ageas have a 5 star rating for the standalone "YourLife Plan" but obviously I don't know if this is the product you are considering.

    Hope this helps.
