Cigarette smoke from adjacent flat

  • The best solution is to talk to your neighbours and try to settle it in a civilized manner. But in many cases this won't have any effect and it won't change their behaviour, smoke may keep coming into your residence. If the council can't help and the neighbours aren't compliant then perhaps you can consider giving them a dose of their own medicine. Brew up something very smelly or try to pass some obnoxious gas / smoke in their direction. Don't break the law, don't send them deadly gas or light a dangerous fire. But do consider giving them a taste of something odorous, particularly on weekends when the weather is hot and when their windows are open and read to accept your special gift. Keep doing it until they complain and then say sure you will remove the smelly source if they stop their smoke from reaching your flat. It might wake them up. Then again it might not.
