Does npower phone anyone then cut them off like they do to me?

Got a call from 0141 2706900 a Scottish accent guy said he was from npower and was calling to ask me some questions about my recent sign up, i said that was fine go ahead - 10 second pause of silence and hearing calls in the background and he cut me off!

Is this a thing that i can expect from npower on a regular basis?

The guy selling me this contract was cut off twice while trying to phone in my details he said they are notorious for non communication but to keep that quiet, now i believe him.
