Anyone been to o2 Academy, Leeds recently??

Please can anyone who has been to the o2 Academy in Leeds recently tell me whether the barcode on your ticket is scanned on the way into the venue or is it simply checked by a member of staff??
I've been issued with a refund for a ticket I purchased last year from Ticketmaster. As I still have the ticket I was wondering whether it would still allow me entry?

The staff at the O2 Academy in Birmingham have hand-held scanners. I wouldn't imagine it's worth the journey-especially if the ticket in question is registered as lost/stolen.import this0

They use hand held scanners. I would imagine that the barcode on your ticket has been voided. You could of course try the obvious but fraud is fraud.0
