Paying My Rent By Credit Card

I would like to pay my rent by credit card to boost my credit card rating. Does anyone know any good websites to set up a payment online so i could pay my rent monthly? I have enough money to pay back my rent in full each month. I would like to set up an online payment with a low fee for having this service of paying by credit card rather than debit card. I have seen a few american websites which look quite good with low monthly fees. The reason i want to do this also is because if i spend over £300 on my credit card each month i get a £5 reward. So i would be looking at setting up an online payment that would charge less than £5 for the service so i can get my cashback credit card reward and save a bit of money. Any advice or recommendations would be very gratefully received. I understand that some people will probably think i am taking a risk, which is why i want to find a reputable recommendation. I am paying off a car on finance at the moment so my credit card spend is going to be less and as i have less payments to make on credit card while i save money aside for the car, now i have a new car to pay off, it makes sense for me to try to get bill payments paid off on my card so i dont end up having too much credit, without spending. Please help!

Have you asked the person/company/whatever you're renting from whether they'll accept credit card payments? They may be willing but might charge you a premium for doing so.Are you for real? - Glass Half Empty??

I have asked my landlord, he is a private landlord. He just gave me his details and told me to set it up myself, which is not how it works as he has to set it up as neither my bank can set it up, nor myself.
I am unsure if he could accept credit card payment but he would accept my payment however it was made as long as it got to him on time and with money!
He is one of them landlords that does not like to bend over backwards for his tennants though *sigh* so i am having no luck trying to explain it to him as i am not too familiar with it myself.
Thank you for your advice though.0 -
I'm sure this will be classed as a Cash Advance so subject to at least a 1.5% fee each time (depends on the card)Ex forum ambassador
