I have had cause to complain about these shysters today to the ICO re harassing / unsolicited calls from these muppets.

The first call was at 09.53 which was an automatic call saying that if I didnt want the calls then I had to phone a 0845 number, like im gonna pay so I barred them on my phone !

Then according to my phone records they phoned again 7 minutes later then a further 16 times in 3 hours

I eventually unblocked the number at half two ish and low and behold they rang again so this time I answered, they started into their spiel crap which I interrupted. "remove my number from your records now" I demanded, "im not giving you money to do it via an 0845 number, how dare you call me 18 times today"...." we havent called you 18 times...must be another number"...." oh so the number my phone log has is ficticious is it ?? "...." we wouldnt call 18 times "..." well I beg to differ and I have the evidence you have, I will now inform you that I shall be reporting you for harassing / unsolicited calls, goodbye" then I hung up.

Jeeees they made me sooooo mad !

And tonight ive had another to55er ring he got the short sharp f**k off treatment !!!

    Just an update really.

The Information Commissioners Office contacted me today re my complaint to them about the unsolicited phone calls I had from these w*nkers.

    They quoted :
The Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (the Regulations) place restrictions on, amongst other things, the circumstances in which those who conduct direct marketing by telephone may make unsolicited approaches. Regulation 19 in particular states that marketing material cannot be transmitted by an automated calling system without the prior consent of the subscriber.

And asked if their first contact was via an automated message - which it was :) so hopefully these w*nkers will get a right bollocking and maybe even a fine :)

My message to everyoneI suppose is to complain about companies like this, all too often they get away with it.

  • So what's your beef? You blocked them, but find it necessary to do a Victor Meldrew and check your phone logs. As Michael Winner puts it . . . "Calm down dear, its a commercial".They will get fed up before you, and you'll have a heart attack at this rate.
