Going back a few years , and yes i know the board has evolved since, we were always advised if there many comps on a site that had their own seperate entry forms, they were posted seperately, as these all linked to same form they were to be posted together, as it would be alot of work on comper and poster to keep revisitng the same form again and again.
What might solve the issue but would mean a bit of extra effort on compers part is to just copy the ones listed in the op to a notepad document so as you enter you can see which ones u need to tick.(that effort would take seconds)

I always have a notepad open to write myself notes etc and remind myself things as I comp as i do drift from here to other boards and forget xxxxxx

joeygrey, glad you do wade in :) ive never seen this discussion before, but i dont often read the asda thread comps so may have missed it if its come up regularly in them. ive never seen the adsa comps mentioned in the regs/main discussion before either and i dont think id be wrong in saying everyone is sick of that but trying to reach a resolution that solves the problem so we dont have the confusion over where/how things should be posted anymore :D

i could suggest another poll :rotfl:

no seriously carry on weeowens. its something that can be looked at another time if people want . its just a strange one because it doesnt fit any format we have on here, its not a monthly with one single end date, as the comps within have different end dates, but its also not an ongoing thread like tab/puzzler which are the others with multi comps in one thread that have differing and no regular end dates iyswim? but it doesnt fit that sort of thread either as its the same entry form and not separate ones.

id get to enter more if i could remember to search for the new thread once or twice in a month and spend the time cross checking all the ticky boxes available both with all replies in the newest thread and with all replies in the previous thread. as i hit it by end date, often at this time of night when im tired and trying to finish the end next day before midnight when a lot of them will cease to be its bad timing for me to be starting to try and do that.....thats just my tough luck that i dont find these ones before then because of the way i choose to comp. it is at the end of the day entirely my choice how i comp and thus my responsibility for what i miss :)

but like i said having them all as separate threads to the same url and entry form would also be wrong and create far more work for you and for the bgs and for everyone entering who now have to open 17 individual threads, which would be far, far worse.

there is no logical and simple "fix" to the problem so best thing to do really is to just carry on as is :)

Would it work if there was one thread for it, with the first post used for the current month's comps, and the second as a kind of archive that the previous comps can be put into?

Not sure how that would work with the end date though.

(See, you've started me off now. There'll be opinions all over the place before you know it :p)

Each month the new comps that are added near the end of the month usually end close together.A big problem is that Asda add comps as the month passes & keep last months on for a bit, running alongside.
No easy answer that will keep everyone happy.
Cheers for all the suggestions and ideas though :-)
