eta: there are 17 comps on the entry form today. a few mentioned in the op here, at least one in the op here i cant see on the entry form at all. and ive entered now for april, so will make sure i skip may so i dont duplicate any entries when next i enter as i ahve no way of knowing what was on the entry form from last month, what is new and what has been added since this post went up :rotfl:0 -
Hi,which comp can't you see? When I looked it seems that the bottom of the sheet comps are last months comps that were posted up.
thats kind of what i mean, i have to pull up the previous thread to go and scroll through it to see what comps were on it last month that i may tick again this month and thus disqualify my entry. if they was in one thread it would simply be a case of scrolling up and checking my thanks for each post to know if i already entered or not same a si do in the tab and puzzler threads. i dont hit the threads until the day before they end usually so dont want to be mucking with differnet threads and trying to work out which comps where added before i enterd on last one and which were added since, and comparing all the posts in two threads before i can enter one comp. so i simply dont enter them every time i find them and assume its safe to enter all if ive skipped the previous month. means i miss out on some i would otherwise like to enter but means i have more time to carry on with other comps ending the next day which are simply check the last post in the thread or there is only one post thats all.
i wasnt suggesting the style should be changed for me or anything like that, merely trying....rather unsucessfully it seems, to point out that the poster who asked about them all being separate wasnt alone in wondering why they are not really.
it would be pretty silly to post each comp individually, but it would make it much easier if i knew if i hadnt thanked and ticked entered on that one individual comps post then it was safe to enter it via the entry form. it would also be annoying though as then there would be 17 different threads to open, and would mean going to the entry form 17 different times :rotfl:0 -
On reflection, I removed my post as I don't really feel I have been around long enough to comment.
Sorry if I offended anyone.:jI shall call him Squishy and he shall be mine and he shall be my Squishy.0 -
once again i did not say they should be changed! i didnt even suggest it! i merely stated i would prefer them differently and my reasons why in the same way others have stated they would prefer them to continue as they have been done and their reasons why. i will refrain form further comment on the matter!0

everyone is entitled to their opinion, no matter if they have been here since the dawn of time or are relatively new, i dont know where this assumption that if your new your not allowed an opinion has come form on mse :rotfl:if the only reason you removed it is because you havent been here since the dawn of the forum then put it back.
your more than entitled to your opinion, but so too am i as are the others who posted before me is all
just because something has always been done that way doesnt mean its wrong to question it or ask for an explanation other than its always been like that, if that was the case we would still have slaves and women still wouldnt be allowed to vote :rotfl:0 -
An easy way to do these comps is to spilt panel this thread then u can see the old comps in one pane and the new in another x#JusticeForGrenfell0

Lol, very true. I think what I meant is it's more that this discussion has been going on for a long time, and I can see that there are strong opinions in play. I have probably only seen the tip of the iceberg in reading through various threads, so don't really know all the ins and outs. I posted, felt uncomfortable about it, so came back and took it off again.
Under normal circumstances and re other subjects, I don't hesitate to wade in with my opinion. Not always a good thing!!:jI shall call him Squishy and he shall be mine and he shall be my Squishy.0 -
I not sure what to do for the best. This format of posting has been constant with Asda comps since mid 2009.I just followed on from mj38's great examples.0
