Danouk - nice to know the perceived rise is fake; perhaps it's just been that bad since they opened the system up to fraud that it's taken until now to get past the initial peak. Either way - it's ridiculously easy. If I was the type, I'm pretty sure I know enough now to steal a million in a week and disappear. It's just too easy to do.

Good advice on just never doing phone transactions - but try stopping an octogenarian who's been harrassed daily by pushy conmen from giving in.

Anyway - result is that he's gone to just cash, and also got rid of his landline telephone. It's a shame, but the only way. Banks, once again, are proven to be far more interested in share price than their customers' needs.
