British gas bonds for loyal customers....

Hi I just received an e-mail from British gas this am to say they have started a new scheme for loyal customers and it is called British gas bonds.If you have a product with them ie gas electricity phone etc, you qualify for 1 British gas bond per product and this is basically a raffle ticket that gets entered automatically into a quarterly draw (the first one being January 2007) and you can win wait for it....a house worth £350,000 , 12 honda civic cars a house makeover (new boiler etc) okay after this the prizes are light bulbs etc but this appears to be a decision on their part to attract new customers or hold onto old ones what do you think?

I got the same e-mail too.

Think it's an attempt from them to keep the customers to stay as many are moving out due to their high price.

I got a printed card Bond included with our Final Bill for electricity yesterday :huh: .
The letter also said we'd get one with our gas bill....which is a bit difficult since we had a credit balance when we switched away from BG last month :rolleyes: :rotfl:

It's taken me 5 phone calls to BG since the start of Oct :mad: to get the electricity Final Bill sent to us (as going to the House site is pointless) and to have the gas credit balance refunded by cheque!

I paid them off yesterday and feel relieved to have done with them :dance: .

Just as a matter of interest anyone can enter the draw for free:-

No gas, electricity or other purchase necessary. To become a Bond holder and get the same chance of winning, please send your name, address, postcode, daytime telephone number and email address on a piece of paper to British Gas Bonds Prize Draw, PO Box 907, Uxbridge, UB8 9FP. This will entitle entrants to one Bond per application, up to the maximum. All Entries received 2 weeks prior to the draw will be included in that draw and any subsequent draws that may be held.
