IPAD2 Apple Store Belfast

I wish to buy an IPad 2 on release on Friday 25th.

Apple have said it is First Come, First Served.

Has anyone had previous experience of buying on release day from Apple Belfast?

Should I be there for opening, probably from well before that

Or

Should I ring once store is open to see stock availability?

Last big release people queued overnight:eek:
The queue by 8am at Victoria Square was nearly out to Cornmarket.

I would like one but not that much. I have the patience to wait but in US the wait is now 4-5 for delivery!

Be aware that it's not supposed to be hitting the shops until 5pm! Online launch direct from Apple is earlier at 1am. See here:

Rumoured to be a new one in September even if it not September the next Ipad is a major upgrade according to Mac sites. Just for warned.

Possible new SOFTWARE in September, which will be compatible with Ipad 2;) can't see Apple launching a new Ipad 3 so soon after this one, remember the 2 is a major upgrade of the Ipad 1. Ipad 3 is obviously in development now as the 2 is now shipping to stores. Ipads will be like Iphones, a new one every year;)

Incorrect. Many analysts are saying that new iPad HARDWARE is also likely later this year, although of course Apple is keeping tight-lipped on that, since it would obviously ruin sales of the iPad 2.

Although of course, supply problems in Japan could scupper that idea.

A very minor upgrade all things which where said would happen within a week of the last one. This Ipad is tweak the next one is a major upgrade. There has been Apple people being quoted at reliable computer sites the next one is the major update. I am getting more interested in the rumoured Amazon tablet. This would really shake things up as they have already an appstore,video and something apple dont have subscription vod.

I got an e-mail just now from Argos to say the iPad 2 will be available at selected stores from 5pm. Belfast, Rosses Court is the only one I could see that's in NI.
