Going to uni to do Veterinary.... How much!

I have a fairly simple question.. But i cannot find a straight or nearly straight answer anywhere.
How much does it cost to do Veterinary studies at university?
I think it is a 4 year course.
The prices i have been told when looking around are all over the show.

Just to give an idea:
Looking to do Veterinary Studies of some kind (to become a vet)
At somewhere like Edinburgh
Housing would be sorted (so not added to the cost)
Not looking to socialize much, none drinker, dont like the night club atmosphere etc, but will go out twice a week for a meal or cinema etc.

Is it possible that people can give me a general idea on how much this would cost per year.

(sorry, i seem so vague on this. It is not for me i am asking and i have very little information)

Just wondering if anyone had a breakdown of how much it cost them. Something that i can use to do a few simple sums with to get my own answer.

As far as I am aware Vetrinary Medicine is a standard funded course. Ie you are only required to pay a contribution of upto £1150 (this academic year) per year to your fees - and this is means assessed.

Vetrinary Science is a five year course at Edinburgh and the University advises that you would be unable to work part time during the demands of the course.
